Pflasterspektakel presents the variety of street performance art – with object and improvisation theatre, music of all kinds, dance, circus artistry, areal and fire acrobatics as well as clownery and comedic performance art.

Artists chose their performance times and locations daily anew. The daily program is available at the festival Infopoints, via newsletter  or can be downloaded  here when the festival starts (Thursday: 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 2 p.m.).

As the daily program is in German language this brochure helps you to get an overview and to keep track.

Program highlights 2017

This year one focal point of the program is „young art – young audiences“. Circus workshops  for kids offer the opportunity to try out artistry in the manege. Afterwards the teens from the circus group “Muhfit” present a play for kids at the LINZ AG Spectacle Tent. The courtyard of Landhaus Arkadenhof is the setting for “Hands-on Music”  where artists perform music together with kids from the audience.

Fans of music will enjoy the “Sound Yard”  Altes Rathaus with smooth music and a cosy chill-out-area as well as the “Concert Nights”  at Landhaus Arkadenhof. Dance, humorous theatre, aerial and “new circus” – a theatrical form of contemporary circus – make up the “Street Theatre”  program.

Of course popular and well known programs are not to be missed: The “Kaleidoscope Nights”  present the variety of street performance art within a 90minutes revue show at the LINZ AG Spectacle Tent on Pfarrplatz. The “Samba Parade”  on Friday and Saturday starts at OK Platz and moves along Landstraße to Taubenmarkt.
