A site specific theatre exploring what it is to be human. Based on the famous science fiction movie “Stalker” by Andrej Tarkowski, the Australian performer Adam Read and his Roadside Company transform the Maindeck of the Ars Electronica Center into a post-apocalyptic place. The “zone” is a space of dark magic, mysterious incidents and strange phenomena. The desire for this place causes many victims. Adam Read stages a character play full of atmosphere and transforms the performance location in very special manner.

Roadside Company: Adam Read (concept, performer), Heinz Kasper (light design), Spiros Paterakis (technical director, performer), Olga Dumova (costume design), Nikola Jeremic (sound design), Sacha Kahir (video animation), Stas Bogdanov (performer), Nadine Giese (performer), Ralph Kleyn (performer), Fyodor Makerov (performer), Anders Zettelmann (performer).

Pflasterspektakel Production Scholarship

The International Street Art Festival Linz awards every year a group of artists which has participated at the Pflasterspektakel in the previous years a 10,000 Euro production scholarship. With the awarding of this scholarship, the Linzer Pflasterspektakel aims to promote artistic production in street art and provides financial resources for the implementation of a selected production idea. The production will be premiered within the street theatre program at the Pflasterspektakel.
