25th Linzer Pflasterspektakel: July 21 to 23, 2011

This year, the Pflasterspektakel, one of Europe`s largest street art festivals, celebrates its 25th  anniversary. More than 400 artists from over 40 countries turn the city centre of Linz into a unique setting for international street art with great sophistication, including object and improvisation theatre, music of all kinds, dance, circus artistry, high-wire and fire acrobatics as well as clownery and comedic performance art.

Performances are presented every hour on the hour in the various performance zones, the Pflasterspektakel worlds: the old part of the town, the so-called Altstadt, Promenade – Herrenstraße – Spittelwiese, Pfarrplatz, Main Square/Hauptplatz, Landstraße as well as various inner courtyards.

The day's programme including exact performance locations and times is updated daily and available at the infopoints, by newsletter or can be downloaded here when the festival starts (Thursday: 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 2 p.m.).

The performances of the artists start at 2 p.m. in the city centre. The spectacle for children at the Promenade and Pfarrplatz offers games and fun for the youngest visitors. At 9 p.m. the hot rhythms of the samba parade through Landstraße fire up the crowd. For night owls, we suggest to use the nightlines from 11 p.m.

The performances in the city centre start again at 2 p.m. The festival's hustle and bustle culminates in the performance of the anniversary production!
